so in my car i have a pioneer deck (not sure what model)
and some kenwood KFC speakers. it sounds good.
but what im curious is that in my friends car he also has a pioneer deck
(newer model) but stock speakers and it sounds a lot better than mine. could it be
the deck?
TIA

Make and model of both cars. The problem lies in what speakers are being used. How they are installed. And if the headunit power output matches the speakers rms input.
Could be The settings on the Deck, The speaker wiring could be reversed, Could Just be that the Deck Out powers the speakers making it sound distorted...
yeah if you had the models on the units it would be nice. Maybe his puts out more power to the speakers. Settings on the unit can also play a big role. Also a lot of the times when people buy a new headunit and then get aftermarket speakers, it doesnt sound that better. Aftermarket speakers hold more power then your stock ones and running them off just the power of the hu, you are underpowering the speakers, so they wont sound nearly as good as they would when hooked up to an amp. Your best bet is to get a little amp and hook them up to your speakers and it will make a world of a difference.
