there was another thread on pyramid amps not too long ago.. i said that i've never heard of it.. and got a response that i should be glad..

Pyramid is crap. This is because they overrate their amps like crazy.
A said "1000 Watt amp" is usually 45 watts x 4 rms, or 100watts x 1 and you can see this by looking at the amp specificiation. This is not illegal as there is no set standard on testing.
Alpine, Pioneer, Fosgate, JBL, .....any amp you look at, ALWAYS look ONLY at the RMS wattage number at 4ohm to compare your power. Look for something in your power range for your subs, match it up and it'll sound great.
Wattage numbers are also deciving, My friend has a Fosgate 120.2 bridged into a nice sub = 120watts RMS, which sounds like nothing, but in his hatchback it sound great and clean. Nothing that'll vibrate windows on the car next to him, but good for great clean sound.
