Default Clifford or Viper?

Whats a reliable alarm company? I had a Clifford Intelliguard 700 on my old CRX si and I am in the market for a larm system in my HATCH. Features I want are power door locks, and a bunch of sensors(if someone pops the hood, hatch, shakes the car, ETC.)

TIA

I have a clifford IG8000 for sale if you are interested. It is only 1 year old and has everything that came with it. You will just need to take it in to be installed.
$150

Reason for change was that I needed 8 more accessory channels for my show car and only 1 alarm on the market has that.

first off you know that DEI (viper) bought out Clifford so they are the same company now... anyway my family has been using Cliffords for over 20 years... my dad had them on all his cars since the early 80's (before i was driving).. they work well, are reliable, have lots of features, etc.. so when i got a car I put in a Clifford.. i've had it for over 3 years.. haven't had any problems w/ it at all..

it locks my doors, sounds my air horns along w/ the sirens, rolls up my windows and sunroof, pops my trunk, senses impact, motion/proximity and tilt, has multipoint engine immobilizer/starter kill (along w/ my kill switches), all the sensors are remotely adjustable, turns on my headlights when its dark, or i turn on the wipers, leaves headlights on for 30 seconds to light my path after car is parked, i could go on and on.. but yeah I like Clifford alarms.. my parents have way better cars than I do.. and they've been using Cliffords for years (actually i could say decades..2)

excellent! Reasons like that is why I went with Clifford. As far as DEI, they did buy them out, but are keeping the clifford line as a separate line and continuing with same technology and expanding on it. The same engineers are still working on them exclusively.

Clifford got bought by DEI. If you open up a Clifford Matrix piece, you'll see DEI stamps all over the contents. DEI is now selling their stuff under the Clifford name. If you are buying a DEI, you might as well buy a Viper.

seek167: like i said i've had my model for a few years. so its not out anymore.. its the AvantGuard III (3).. they are out w/ AvantGuard IV (4) now.. and will probably release the AVG 5 soon (im guessing)... it runs upwards of $700 depending on where you get it installed.. mine also has pager, window and sunroof closure, battery back up, trunk pop, internal siren, and a lot of other extra features... so it would cost more... good thing my friend hooked me up and did the install for the cost of lunch basically heheh

Clifford are overprice for their gategory. You can get a Viper, Python, Sidewinder, etc., that does the same job and cheaper. Both are now made by DEI so they are virtually the same company.

EX: The clifford IG6000(Concept100) is price for $300. The Viper300, Python300 are price around $200 has the exact same features as the Clifford.

I have a Clifford Concept 600(IG9000) which cost me $500 for my Celica but my Integra has a Viper500esp which does the exact same job and has the exact same features and was $200 cheaper except a couple of luxury items. However, I could have added window roll up or trunk pop for $50 each.

The Concept 600 I have is fancy:

It has window roll up, ANTI CARJACK (*very annoying feature*) had to disable it after a while because you had to punch in the code sequence everytime the door was open, even when the engine was on, Auto-Arming (*you can add a $10 relay and a viper can do the same*), and of course the Super Annoying Omnisenor (shock sensor)
