Default Clifford G4 Turbo Timer Option

I want to have this feature setup on my alarm. Are there any other way to set the timer option besides going through CliffNET wizard? I'm having a hard time finding someone in the area that can program it. Most stereo/alarm shop don't know wtf i was talking about lol. I can install the turbo timer myself, which is very easy. Just need to set the timer to two minutes.

Unless there's someone in So. Cal with the USB Cliffnet cable?
It's not worth 60 bucks

TIA

Basically all that is needed is:
- a SPDT relay
- one of the 7000's timed outputs.
- some wire
- skill

The wizard just allows a more percise programing of time and
other functions of the system. So thats all thats really needed,
To engage it you just activate the output and the car keeps
running for the pre-determined time. How to set the timed
modes are in the install manual.

You are basically being charged about 1 Hr worth of work...
which aint bad. Geez quit being a cheap azz,,its a great price.

i know how to wire it up..

who gets paid 60 bucks an hour?
I was talking about the cliffnet Wizzard kit. which cost 60 bucks on ebay.
if im going to spend that much, i would much rather buy an aftermarket turbo timer. I wouldnt even use the kit much anyways.

with further search, there's no way of doing it.
Self turbo timer is what im stuck with lol.

Did you understand what I posted?

will list programming instructions.

This basically is $10-15 bucks worth of parts...
I have done this countless times with turbo cars
( since G4 was released ) its insanely easy.
So what's the prob?

This was based on an avg hourly labor charge of $50 plus parts.
I got the skills to request this of peeps.

did you not understand what i posted?
i know how to wire it up. The only thing is stopping me is programing the unit to do timing option. right now those AUX wires are set to pulse actions which is mainly for door/trunk popper.

With cliffnet, i can wire up the alarm to a computer. Tell it to do timing on that AUX channel (instead of pulse). Set the amount of time i want IE: 1min. Then i will have the ability to do the turbo timer.

The manual doesnt list programing industructions. Cliffnet does

like i said before, no other way besides that gay cable and software

Okay I'll hold your hand on this one
As stated before...the INSTALLATION MANUAL lists how to program it.

' To access the installer programmable features use the procedure defined
in the user programmable section, but after completing step 4,continue
to press and hold the * side of the plain view switch for another 10 secs.
You will hear three confirmation chirps indicating that the system is in the
installer program mode.'

Depending on the systems programming matrix...you can change the
output from pulsed /timed/latched. Once that feature is selected, you will
hear one chirp which confirms the timer has started...it can be from 1 - 255
seconds (4.25 mins) in length. When the desired duration is reached, press
the unmarked side of plain view switch. You will hear 2 chirps confirming
the new timer duration.

Did you really think that a there was no other way to program the
system. Not every shop/installer has a computer that they can access.

alight i gotcha..
got it working..

Thanks niggie.

For those who want to install this option:
any 12 volt bosch 30/40 amp relay will do. make sure it doesn't have a built in 'flasher' motor.

Program Auxiliary B to timed output
Connect the Grey/Blue wire to Pin 85
Pin 86 & Pin 87 to a fused 12 volt source 20 or 30 amp
Pin 30 to Green/Blue wire off the Clifford's Ignition/Starter kill harness

Be sure to turn off the Auto Activation feature if programmed on Aux B. Set Aux B to timed output and you can program up to 4 minutes on Aux B.

Test it by having the vehicle running, press your Aux B channel button and then shut the vehicle down. Remove your key, and then arm your system. Your vehicle should be still running.

If you need to have the Accessory wire running, you will need to use another relay to power the Accessory wire off the WRX's Ignition harness. You could use the same Grey/Blue Aux B wire to trigger this relay as well.
