Clifford alarms
ok first off I DONT have a concept series.. I have AvantGuard.. so if this info is incorrect or doesnt work.. then sorry I dont know.. but since no1 else is responding.. try the Avant Guard method..
I'm assuming u have remotely adjustable sensors...
to adjust the interior (cabin) zone: press the small side button on your remote twice (shift) and then button 3 (large button is #1.. and the rest goes clockwise.. so button #3 is directly under the large button 1 (that u use for arm/disarm) in the 6 o'clock position.. this transmits channel 11 to adjust the proximity sensor...
lean into your passenger compartment.. when the sensor detects you. .it will chirp... if you want to INCREASE sensitivity.. press button #2 on remote (3 o'clock position) if you want to DECREASE sensitivity press button #4 (9 o'clock position) when u incrase sensitivity the tone of the siren will go HIGHER pitched.. when i decrease.. each step down in sensitivity the tone will go lower pitched... w/ your new setting lean in again to see where it chirps to tell you it detected you.. if your satisfied w/ this setting press button #1 (your arm/disarm large button) to record this new sensitivity setting.. if not.. keep inscreasing or decreasing depending on what u want it to be.. and when u have it right where u want it.. press button #1 to record the setting..
if you wanted to mess w/ the outside perimeter/warning zone.. transmit channel 12 (press side shift key twice.. and then button 4).. and then lean toward the car and test its sensitivity.. adjustment is the same w/ increasing (button 2) and decreasing (button 4)... then when u have it set where u want it.. press button 1 to record this sensitivity setting..
like I said.. I dont have a concept series.. so if this doesnt work sorry..

well considering I have a Clifford Avant Guard alarm installed in my car and I looked it up in my owners manual.. it would be correct FOR THE AVANT GUARD.. however the guy above stated he had a Clifford Concept series alarm.. so Im not sure if the Avant Guards sensor adjustment and channels are the same as the Concept series...

Just a couple quick questions if anyone sees this.
a) How much did you pay for your gifford alarm ? ( what do there prices range from low end to high end? ... if you happen to know )
b) For the people that have experience with Gifford ... has it been worth it are they really as good as some people say?
Just curious ... I have had my stereo stolen and in the process $700 in damages to the dash cause the trolls had no clue how to remove stereo, but managed to get in my car without breaking a window or anything. People have also been looking at my car with the look of "I want this car." ... you know the troll stare Any help would be much appreciated
EDIT .. Err clifford... close enough right ????

Gifford? I'm assuming you mean CLifford... anyway I got hooked up from my friend for $750 for all the parts/components and install.. i have the Avant Guard III alarm, Clifford smart windows modules which closes my windows and sunroof when I arm my alarm, Clifford pager, Clifford dual zone shock/impact sensor, Clifford dual zone proximity sensor, Clifford digital tilt sensor, Hella air horns that go off along w/ my Clifford underhood siren, and I also have an internal/cabin siren, hood pin switch, starter kill, stealth install w/ all black wiring and hidden brain, headlight and wiper activation, headlight delay to light your path after you park, multipoint immobilizer, etc.. anyway it depends what model Clifford you get.. the lower priced ones are around $300.. and the higher priced are anywhere from $500-over a thousand... make sure you get a good installation because a good alarm w/ a crappy install (brain right under dash, everything visible) is not going to do much... use other devices like hood lock, autolock, kill switches independant of alarm, etc..
hey VTI-VTEC it seems the sensor adjustment for your Concent 50X is similar to my Clifford Avant Guard.. i guess you have a few more steps to do since your remote is 12 channel and mine is 16 ch... you have to flick the switch and enter valet/program mode....

Remote controlled sensor adjustment
You may individually test and adjust the settings of each sensor zone:
1. Disarm the system with the remote control, open the driver’s window.
2. Turn the ignition to the “ON” position, enter your valet code, then press and hold the
momentary side of the switch until you hear a siren chirp.
3. Flick the switch to the latched position and back to center five times. Pause. You will
hear 5 chirps.
4. Tap the momentary side of the switch 5 times (you will hear a chirp each time).
5. Turn the ignition switch off, exit the vehicle, close the door, then select the zone you
wish to adjust:
a. Interior zone: Transmit channel 11 (LevelShift twice, then button 3).
b. Exterior zone: Transmit channel 12 (LevelShift twice, then button 4).
6. To test the current sensitivity setting:
a. Interior zone: Lean into the passenger compartment. You will hear a chirp when
the zone detects your presence. Ideally, it should chirp when you lean over the
driver’s seat, but remain silent when you lean toward the window.
b. Exterior zone: Lean toward the window. You’ll hear a chirp when the zone
detects you. Ideally, it should only chirp when you are within one foot of the window.
7. If you are not satisfied with the detection level and wish to increase sensitivity, press
button 2 on your remote control. To decrease it, press button 4. Each time you
increase sensitivity, the siren will sound higher and higher pitched chirps.
Conversely, sensitivity decreases are confirmed with lower and lower toned chirp.
Three chirps indicate minimum and maximum settings. There are 32 sensitivity
levels for the Proximity Sensor’s interior zone; 16 for the less critical warning zone.
8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until you are satisfied with the sensitivity, then press button 1
to record the new sensitivity setting and exit the sensor test/adjust mode (you’ll hear
three chirps to confirm exit). You may now either repeat steps 1–4 for the other
sensor zone, or press button 1 again to arm the system.
hope this helps and that you get your sensor adjsuted..
