Default cd player fried during install

Hey just put in this deck and their was some exposed wires which ended up blowing the fuse for the radio. so i replaced it with a spare that was in the box. the deck did have power before the fuse blew. why wont it work now with the spare fuse in? what else couldve went wrong? checked radio fuse on the radio as well.

If you have a multimeter make sure it is getting power.

You do know there are two fuses for the radio harness, right?

The acc. fuse is normally found in the under dash fuse box, the 12V+ constant power fuse is normally in the engine bay fuse box, [and almost always a 7.5A fuse]. 94

BTW, if the fuse in your HU, [deck] is bigger then a 7.5A, you should not use the stock 12V+ constant in the radio harness, run a fused lead from the cars batt., just like you would for an amp.
