Capacitor's pointless????
They are definitely a crucial part of a sound system. Even a .5 farad is better than nothing. They help store power from your battery so your system doesn't drain the rest of your cars electrical functions. I'm gonna get one for my new system

Do you really need this spelled out for you? Seriously?

This isn't clue enough for you?
DB competitor are tuning there systems for one "specific" goal in mind. They do not care about the overall charging system. They are running off of batteries. They want huge amounts of power for extended periods of time. The only place they can get this is from the batteries. Thus the reason they dont care about their charging systems.
How do you guys come up with this thinking? This would be like comparing a drag racer against someone that races on a circle track. Is it really that hard to see that they have two entirely different goals in mind?

CO-Sign..... Just like I was saying a few posts back, they're targeted for a particular crowd of people, not for all.

i always told ppl to get 1farad for every 500w rms. i run a 2farad capacitor on my 800w rms mtx setup. one thing i like about having the cap is if im going to play a song or so without starting the car, i can play it for 2 songs or so turned completely up without draining my battery. </TD></TR></TABLE>I'm kinda getting the picture now. Now I just need to order a "fat cap".
