Seperate battery for my system........
im thinking about puting a seperate battery in my trunk for my system but im just wondering if there is going to be a sound difference, am i going to get more bass, or get more watts out of my amps, or anything if i do this.
like to know what u guys think.

IF you're running a high power amp and multi subwoofers, yes, it's a good idea to run an extra battery close to the amp(s). That will help with the amperes demand and consequently have more power and stronger bass.
Getting a capacitor is not a bad idea. On the other hand, a high power alternator or competition alternator is NEVER cheaper than adding on an extra battery.
It is not a good idea to add a second battery to your car. Unless you want to listen to your system for extended periods of time at high volumes, you won't be gaining anying....
And a second batt is far cheaper in the long run then an alternator - they are very comparable in fact - the alternator is a better deal considering that the battery won't fix the basic problem.
You can get a HO alternator from 4alterstart.com for less then $200. By the time you buy a batter, a battery box, 0/1 cable to the trunk, an isolator and associated connectors you are in the neighborhood of the alternator. In addition, you have now lost more trunk space.
It really all depends on the car that you are running this in and what amplifiers. A well maintained factory charging system with upgraded underhood wiring should be able to support most daily driven systems just fine.
Now as for your system being louder or sounding better...that depends on your amplifiers. Some, not all, amps make more power as the input voltage goes up. your system, when the car is running, gets all of it's power first from the alternator at 14.4V. If the alternator can not supply enough current, the battery provides power - at 12V.
This all adds up to the fact that regardless how many batteries you add, your system will still run at 12V if your alternator is not large enough to supply current to your amplifiers.

I see cars with two batterys hook up together. But not a seperate battery for the system only. What you got charging the second battery? It probably last you maybe couple of hours and need recharge.
