Default Box choice

I got a pair of L7s I just got but they didn't come with
Box. I'm looking to buy one or if have to I will make one
But I would like to know is which is a better choice for them
Bought or made. Plus should I go with a sealed box, pored box (single or double). And should I wire them together. Thanks for any help. Plus it's going to be in a trunk of 2001 accord coupe if that makes a difference.

Model of L7 would help.
The L7 will work in a wide range of sealed box sizes but for best results a properly built slot port vented box is best...http://www.kicker.com/sites/default/...cL72008.pdf.94

a ported box for sure...im sure you would be able to find the dimensions/specs of a stock kicker box pretty easy

Would getting a ported box with it on the side be better then the ones with the ports in the middle of the box. Also with box with ports in the middle should each sub have it's own port or just one port for both

Sounds like a pretty good box, 1" face with the rest 3/4" cut out is exact, and the box is specific to the sub also a good price.

I am no fan of "pre-built" sub enclosures, most are generic, poor quality, thin material ans often particle board instead of MDF, with speaker cutouts that are not exact.

In this case I would be inclined to get the box, add some sealing, silicon to the seams and a wood sealer to inside of box. 94

Bet it's tuned high, though(40's)

Also, the box is 1.7 per and the minimum is 1.75. Who knows if they took account for sub and port displacement.

Atrend is all made oversea, wood cost about 30 a sheet, have some local make it for you, i suggest Audio Experts in Clearwater, if you talk to Luke, tell him Matt Hart sent you.
