Default Bose RSX Sub? +/-?

I am looking to add a little bass without taking up any room in my tiny car.
Does anyone here know what a RSX spare tire sub sounds like?
They're on ebay for $50.

Are you adding it to a stock RSX Bose system? 94

No, I am not adding it to an RSX.
I just wanted a sub that fit in the spare tire well and I know Bose can make a lot of bass with small speakers, like in their Acoustamass system.

If it's anything like other Bose speakers, it's not a standard 4 ohm driver... You'd need to find out what the impedence of the speaker is first, and amp it accordingly...

The problem you may run into is the impedance of the speaker, [sub] may be to low for a regular car amp, I would find out what the impedance of the sub is before you buy it.
Another alternative would be... http://cgi.ebay.com/Spare-Tire...wItem 94

if its the oem sub it has an amp built into it. feed it signal , ground, and 12v switched power and your good. it may also need a 12v continous wire, i cant remember, but alot of bose amps only use switched.

Problem is, it comes with no harness, I wasn't sure if it had the amp built in although the one I linked does and it has the harness. 94

what car are you trying to put it in? they are barely audible to me in a RSX so if u are using it in a sealed trunk you might not hear it.
FYI the bose spare tire well subs are actually a Pioneer design, the driver inside may be a BOSE (or it may not I have never checked) but the enclosure is a Pioneer enclosure.
