i've never tried it, i just don't see how it can work, i've worked on an RSX before, my friend has a type-s, but anyway, the bose amp isnt JUST for the sub, it's also for the 6 speakers, it doesn't have rca's and all that good stuff, it's a FACTORY amp, it uses speaker wires and it's a bitch to get out and if you take it out the speakers in the RSX don't work, you pretty much have to gut the whole system, i don't think you'd be able to do it, but i'd love to see it if you could, i personally would go with something that would last you a while, BOSE tends to suck *** and doesnt last

I don't think it will work. I knew this guy that had an old Maxima with a Bose system in it. When it blew a speaker, it had to be replaced with a Bose speaker. The system would not work with any other speakers. Like Petro said, you may have to bring over the whole system to make it work.

actually, it will work. I did a custom 15" spare tire well sub install for a guy and one of the terms is i got to keep his sub. By saying it hits decently, though, is pushing it. If you can get one for free i say go for it...There are 4 wires on the input harness. Cut the harness off. One of the wires, you will notice, is bigger than the others. thats the power. black is ground, and the other two are the sound inputs. cut them, tap into your constant/ground, and your low level output on your amp, and you are good to go.

it will work as he said...........alot of S2K owners are doing it

you can get an adapter to make the job relatively easy

the enclosure has an amp in it that is seperate from the amp of the other speakers which is located under the passengers seat

I have an enclosure I will sell for $75 shipped if you want it

it's hardly worth it. Remember, the RSX is a hatch... you don't need much of a "sub" to hear it in a hatch. Anythign with a trunk, forget it, unless you can manage to fit it under a front seat.
