Default Boost Gauge

Okay so i recently bought an AEM Anologe boost gauge. Well I guess I didnt wire it right, because when I was driving they said if it stays a zero then its not hooked up right so I hooked it to a switch I took the red and pink wire to the switch then took the ground straight to the battery then took a positive and negative from the battery to the switch. the gauge turned on but it spins all the way around and points straight down. i started the car nothing. Im confused of what wrong. Can anyone help??

If wired correctly the unit sould flash the needle all the way around and re-center itself. The unit has 2- 12 volts, 2- grounds and a pink ignition wire to turn it on. If those are wired correctly. The unit should work. Make sure the analog wires are not shorting out on anything. Do you have the boost source hooked up correclty?

The unit will give faults codes if its not hooked up right.

what i have is the two twelve volts ran straight to the battery, the two grounds ran straight to the battery, the i have the pink running to a switch it stead of ignition. But it does its start up where it goes all the way maxed but it doesnt move from there. I checked my solenoid all the wires where fine. I think it could possibly be that solenoid its self. The manuel they give you say if anything is wrong no matter what the gauge will point straight down. So im not sure? I havent had a chance to call AEM yet

If all is wired correct. The the sensor or the gauge is at fault and I would not sweat the install.

dont hook it straight to the battery..... with no fuse. amperage draw would nuke that gauge in a millisecond
