Blown Speakers?
What are the signs of blown speakers? Do they work alittle? Does any noise come out of them?
I have a prob with my stock deck and 4 rockford speakers i just bought.
I installed all 4 speakers (they were a bitch) took me 3 hours.
Now when i go off and start driving to best buy about 5 min into the trip the sound start skipping then after a few of that it just shut off. I tried to turn it to the tuner and then no sound. Cd player doesn't play either but the deck is on. I noticed that when i turn on the deck a hear a slight noise out of the speakers so could it be the deck that craped out?

there will be sound coming out, i honestly have never heard aftermarket speakers blown, but ive heard stock speakers blown there is sound coming out but it is very staticy...
i doubt the deck is blown, stock honda decks usually put out like 15 watts to each speakers, if even that, if you give too little power to speakers they blow, not smart to put in 4 aftermarket speakers to a stock unit, i would check out your speakers, they are most likely fucked up
I would install one speaker into a friends car, if you know how to do it yourself shouldnt be big problem, but thats how i would test it, make sure he/she has a headunit and unplug their other speaker. i don't know any other way
