i saw some bazooka tubes at my local box maker, i was thinking of ordering some for my comp vr's...
would they sound good in a tube?
i was thinking of doing it the length of may trunk and point one to eahside of the car....or both pointed backwards, or wherever the fk i please.
ok*deep breath* im high but im still gonna ask this question properly and get an answer.
the tube should be sealed right?can you port a bass tube?
umm, do you think 2 tubes joined by a rectangular ported box sound good?
im justy fascinated with getting rid of the plain old looking boxes in mine and everyother bass heads trunk....
my subs are not covered and can be easily seen by looking into my car...
so i want something more...custom, there fore i thought of tubes, this is getting too long. have i even ask my question yet? yes, i have.
so, what is the verdict on these 'bass tubes'?
edit:thanyou to whoever put on the spell check
edit2: just found this on another site about bass tubes:
Bass tubes are really only good at their resonant frequency, anything above or below they tend to taper off quite sharply, I was under the impression it was 6db/octave taper so they'd be good if you have a full range speakers reproducing (say) down to 70Hz and the bass tube being at its -3db point at 70Hz so you get the earth shaking vibration out of one.

The shape of a sub enclosure is irrelevant. You are concerned about volume only. You can make them whatever shape you want. You can port a tube also, it would have to be larger than the sub with the port on a face plate with the sub.
Round enclosure ROLL! This is the normal problem.
