sub box question

Default sub box question

ANY one out there have a 5G prelude with 2 12's and if so what kind of box do you have pre fab or custom if pre fab what type

nope, put 2 10" infinity kappa perffects....You'll be good with 2 10z trust me, i get a headache listening to mine...12z IMO are good if youre going to juice it up and have a huuuge trunk. We have small trunks and if you put 2 12z it will not be able to produce the quality you are looking for in 10z. 10z leave room to bang and are definitly a hell of a lot lighter too...

you are fine with the twelves - they will sound great - the only problem is that the box will be larger. Generally speaking, pre-fab boxes are not that great to begin with, so you should think about getting a custom box made so you get the best sound out of those speakers.

build one yourself, i just did. It wasnt that hard if you have the time.

Yup, get the specs for your particular subs and build your own box out of mdf. Same thing as a premade but to your subs specs and a lot cheaper. Doesnt take too long either.

yeah build it yuorself..you'll have a lot more pride in your system...Get the specs. If you have trouble just jump back on and we'll help you out...

If you don't want to do it yourself the price of a simple custom box goes for about the price of the really fancy/cheesy prefabs out there. A buddy of mine had one made for about $200.
