What is a good size 4 channel amp to power 2 mid range speakers and 1 8 or 10 inch sub?

 

an amp that will approximately meet the RMS requirements (I generally go for at least 80-85%) of all the speakers you're trying to push.

ok, well the mid ranges pull 30-95 watts and the sub pulls about 250 watts... The amp I was looking at is the Rockford Punch 501x, I was gonna bridge 2 channels for the sub wich is 250 watts, the individual channels are ratted at 62.5 watts at 4 ohms... so that should work perfect right?

 

Yeah that should work, is that 250 from the bridged RMS? I wouldn't think so, I'll bet that the sub ratings are RMS, what ohm load are you looking at.

I don't like the punch series, save a little extra money and get the power series. I have noticed the punch amps get hotter then they should and I think the quality just isn't as good as it should be.
