If I rig the amps to the back of the seat, what should I screw then into? Metal, MDF? Maybe a stupid question...but I'd like to know

Not a stupid question. I would screw MDF onto the backseat, and screw the amp onto the MDF.

Am I going to have to choose a spot on the metal back of the seat....or are there predrilled holes I can use? I haven't taken off my seat back covers yet, so I don't know whats back there, but I wondered if you had already done it or knew how to do it?

Take off the covers and check where the metal is. You're going to have to make new holes, there are no predrilled holes not that I know of.

Big fan of some of these setups, however the backseat mounting is one of my favs.
