amp blew...
My Jensen 500 watt amp blew a while back... and i'm not sure why. maybe its just age, and that its quite a few years old... but it just randomly happened one day, and never gave it any thought...

It can probably be repaired for much cheaper than buying a new one. Call a local electronics repair place and they can more than likely fix it. Amps are still just a bunch of electronic circuits. Try to find out why it blew in the first place before hooking it back up though. If it was a short like a crossed wire or something it will just blow it again. They usually don't just "wear out".
Not to dis or anything but this may be a good time to upgrade to something a little higher quality though...

boss amps aren't bad, I had a couple of them and haven't blown them. They aren't too expensive either http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...18796 for a 500 watt one not too bad, just look on ebay for boss amps, all amps will blow if you push them to the max. However, i have a 2400 watt audiobahn amp pushing 4 alpine type r's and I have beaten the **** outta the system and all i do is blow fuses
