alarm went off while driving.. HELP
Fellas,
Just like the topic says. I checked all the connection of the alarm and I couldn't find any open wires or wire touching metal that will activate the alarm while driving. Anyone else has this type of problem.
I have a 98 civic coupe w/ Black Widow Alarm.

does your alarm have remote start? reason i ask is not too long ago i removed my remote start box, and after that the alarm would arm while driving - i think the connection to the ignition was lost. what i mean is, it couldn't tell that the key was in the ignition and the car was running. when i hooked the remote start box back up, everything was ok. in any event, it may be related to the ignition.
hope that helps.
isn't it emabarassing sitting at a light with your alarm blaring?
hope that helps.

It's a bad installed. Happen to me also. I had a Clifford Concept 600 installed on my Celica and the alarm will go off when I was driving. I don't know what it was but I bought it back to the shop and the fixed it.

Mine's pretty ghetto like that. If I don't push the unlock button on the remote it will go off. One time I just opened my door with the key started it and drove off and the alarm kept going off until I pulled over shut the engine off and pushed the unlock key on the remote. I guess that is what I get for being cheap =\.
haha thats pretty ghetto... I think its a bad install.. its supposed to be wired so that when the engine is started.. it "knows" and won't let you use features like trunk pop, auto arm, etc.... I think you can use the panic (by holding down the remote button) but it should not arm or go off itself Lolz... I've also heard that black widow brains like to go bad.. not sure what your problem is....
U need to hook up the Yellow wire in most alarm.. which is suppose to be Ignition.. .. Ignition wire must be hooked up.. hope that will help...
