Default Alarm Reception Problem???

This is the wierdest problem i have ever heard, but i have it.

I have an alarm and i know a few people with the same alarm and theirs works fine.

As for mine when it is daytime and clear my alarm pad has no reception to the car( for disamring/arming) i sometimes have to put it right up to the window.

Yet as soon as it gets cloudy it gets a bit better, i can stand a decemt distance away, and as soon as night time hits i can be pretty far and it works?

I just dont get this, has anyone else had this odd problem?

Thanks

that is a common problem, the radio waves in certain areas will cause that kinda stuff. powerlines and other cars usually are the biggest cause for poor range.

Ill give it a shot, but the antenna is in the best place i could find, its right above the rear view mirror?

Any ideas where i could put it?

The only diffeence with the cars is that mine is the only one with tinted windows?

Otherwise we were parked right beside each other.

Even if my car and my friends car are both in the driveway side by side, all alone, and we walked across the street and his worked and mine did not???

tinting your windows will dramatically decrease the range of the alarm because of the metal in the tint. try parking the car so you can see the windshield because the antenna is mounted to it i would assume.
