Wherever it is most visible for someone to see it from the outside of your car.

I have mine on the steering wheel body cover. A friend of mine has his on by his shifter. Those are probably the most common places to put them

On my '98 Civic, I drilled a hole in the top of my gauge cluster, and the led is mounted upside down in that hole... Very obvious almost 360 degrees around the car..

What alarm do you have, and where is it mounted?

It doesnt really matter what alarm you have, just throw in the new led, soldier and tape up the new wires and you are done.

The reason i asked to what alarm you have is, because if anyone has some extra alarm LED's laying around like i do, you can just plug a new one into the brain and voila.

Alarms can use 1volt to 12volt leds using, using lower volt led will just blow led, using higher volt led can blow led output of alarm. 94
