Just for kicks, I already have that python 700 installed, I found the Compustar kit for about $270. Would It be easy to install the compustar in it's place? Any idea how much someone whould charge to install this?
I've been in Phoenix for a month and I'm already this paranoid. I feel like my python 700 is nothing. Waste of $300

EDIT: 2w900 goes for about 230 on ebay. PRO2wfmas for like $300.
STI What are the real differences, and what do you think of my python 700?
I got it put in on a whim because 1 guy here on h-t said it was a good entry level alarm and I read a few good reviews on it.

After some reading, it sounds like the range on the compustar is superior.
But If I add a hoodpin and trunkpin I think it will make my alarm setup more comparable.
I don't know much about all this, that's why I went to circuit city.

The unit you have is a entry level unit. It was not design to have that great of range. But it is a good alarm if its installed correctly. If range is what you looking at, look at the responder units or better yet go with the sst units

oh, well now I don't feel so bad. I think I should add a hood and trunk pin though. And a backup battery + kill switch. Then I'd have more peace of mind.
