Accord Kick Panels
I've been looking around for the past couple of days for ideas on how to make some kicks for my '02 Accord, but I'm coming up empty...
I just can't bring myself to spend $150+ on the Qforms for my car, although I loved them in my '98 Civic... I've never built kick panels before, so I thought I'd give it a shot... I've got plenty of fiberglass & resin & bondo from a previous project...
I would like to install my 5 1/4" JL components so they're just not sitting in a box...
When I installed the subs & amp, I also put in the crossover & high amp, and ran the wires to the front, so I just need to build something to house the drivers.

I'd play around w/ speaker placement prior to building them....find really thick cardboard or something along those lines and just screw in the speakers to the cardboard. Try different locations along the floor and also play around w/ angle the speakers are firing. You'll generally want to aim the speakers at the dome light. Also find a location where the distance from left speaker to ear and right speaker to ear are as similar as possible. Some even go to extent of taking a hand-held laser light to see exactly where the speakers are aimed.
when done really right you'll find that sitting in either passenger or driver's seat will sound as if you're sitting in the center of a concert.
here's another link...this guy did my current system
