Default 520t Wiring Fuse Question

I'm having trouble understanding the install procedure. I have a "Marksman x4" alarm and the "Red Wire" from this alarm goes to the 12V constant. I know I'm supposed to cut this wire one inch before its fuse which is 5A and connect it to the "Grey" of the 520t. This doesn't seem right to me but the 520t's "Red" wire came with a 15A fuse while my alarms "Red" 12V wire that will be connected to the "Grey" wire is only 5A. Is this normal or should the fuses be the same?
