Default 520t adequate power?

I have a 520t installed and I tested it out the other day, doesn't power the alarm. Tested it with my multimeter and it is only putting out 9.56v. Is this enough power to run my alarm, or is the problem somewhere else?

is the blue wire coming off the 520t connected to the H1 brain - blue multiplex wire?

Yes, the back up battery is done, toast. NOw were did you get it from? Ebay... thats a big problem because I swapped out so many from them. Next if you keep killing the main car battey and running the back up battery down. you will damage the 520t. Also make sure the ground is good to it.

Yes, the blue wire from the 520t goes to the instant trigger from the alarm.

The first time I unhooked the battery, the alarm gave a half hearted attempt at sounding the siren, then quit. I need this to work, I just moved into an apartment and everyone is telling me cars get stolen!

*EDIT*
I just thought of something. When I was first putting the cables back on the battery after I did a bunch of work, I dropped the wrench I was using, and it arced the positive and negative terminals of the battery. Could this have killed the 520t?

Do you have a gel cell charger? I charged mine up real well before installing it, shows 14v if I remember straight. How old is the battery? Has it ever worked properly in the past?

Gel cell charger? Don't know what that is. The guy said the battery is a few years old, but he never used it. Hard to say if it ever worked, I got it off ebay like wrx killer said. Although when I first got it, I'm sure it was putting out about 11v. Is there any way to test the actual module?

Toss the battery and go buy a better 12v sealed battery. You can still use the module just toss the battery.

good ideal, Did you just put the installed it right out the box and expect it to work? after sitting for years. I allways install it and let the car run for 15min while I working on putting the car back toghter. Then anthor 15min of driving to make sure its charged. BUt If I on a time limit. I charge it before doing the install to make sure everything is aokay before doing anything

Like I said, it was reading about 11v when I got it, so I thought it would be fine. What do they normally charge to? 14v?

drive around or throw it on a battery charger and test it... if it wont charge the battery is faulty... they are cheap anyways though.
