Default 12 volt

where is the 12 volt wire on a 97 civic? i just bought a tv and it needs to be hooked up to the 12v. where is it? i think that it is one of the two on the lower right side of the drivers seat.. am i right? thx

im not sure what ur askin.. by the seats? I'm assuming the TV is hooked up similar to an amp (12V, ground, remote turn on.. then inputs).. can't u just wire it fused to the battery.. and then hook up the remote and the rest? I'm just guessing so don't take my word as I've NEVER hooked up a tv to a car b4.. maybe sum1 else can help u.. but I'm not sure I understand what 12V ur trying to tap into by the seats..

Are you asking about the fuseblock "option" plug? Just use a test light and probe until you find one that is hot all the time even while cranking the ignition.

Option plug is fused as "option" at the underhood relay box with a 50amp fuse.

But than again, I am talking about the DC/DB chasis, and not sure on the Civics(but it is likely the same). Option plug is for dealer installed accessories fog lights, alarms, etc..
