*Deck Problem
Hello All
I have been through 2 clarion decks.
The first one worked fine for about 5 months then only worked with the controller, all the functions on the deck was not reading, i also restarted the deck and everything.
I bought another clarion deck, same thing happened after 3-4 months? only works with the controller and i also tried resetting everything,
what do you guys think is wrong?
I have a system installed also. that works fine.

Where are you buying the HUs from????
Clarion has a 1 year parts and labour warranty.
The most common cause of face plate failure is not installing a proper back support on the HU, this puts a lot of "stress" on the front of the HUs, although two HUs with the same problem is such a short time would make me think you got the unit's from a a non authorized dealer and they are refurbs, or more likely recalls for salvage.

maybe its because clarion=****.
thats just my opinion tho.
go by a sony or jvc or something and stop worrying about less than good quality audio

dude just return your latest deck, try a different brand. I really don't think is a wiring issue or whole deck would be out IMO. you can always try installing it in a different car. remember, you get what you payed for..............

If it's not a refurb I would be surprised.
My guess is Clarion had a problem with the face plate and did a recall, refurbed them and Fry's got a bunch.
