Well, the other crx was on the lift and ready to be parted (i need only the drivers side frame engine mount), but other than that, no updates.... I leave for Okinawa tomorrow, and its unfortunate that I want be able to check it out and get more update pictures before I accept it from the shop.

thanks!

well I'm on Okinawa now and can't physically go and see the car anymore which is a bummer because I got the shop owner telling me he has ran into trouble with the swap,

1. I guess the front member from the crx will not bolt up to my EF2 frame, so now he has to modify my front member to make the engine mount work. He also said something about where the EF2 tension rods bolt to, the hole has to be drilled out 3mm or something, I'm not for sure what he is talking about there, and he said, that I will never be able to use after market ones.... (scratches head).

2. The engine frame mount (drivers side) also will not work, so he is telling me that he has to make a custom engine mount for this.

3. The left and right emergency brake cables from the crx are to short and Honda doesn't make them for the EF9 anymore..... I wonder if the EG6 ones would work..... (scratches head).

So, that is where we are at on the build.

That sucks that you can't go see the issues yourself. I wish I could help, but I'm not very familiar with the EF chasis

you might want to order a set of mounts from hasport or another company in the usa to put a b series in an ef no customization required and you can keep your stock cross member just the drivers frame rail usually needs a little love from a big *** hammer.

if you check ebay or the marketplace you might find some used mounts cheaper like place racing used to make them

thanks for the links, but I guess he has already started on the mounts. , I guess they all have to be changed and moved....

He says his will be better anyway..... we will see.

and above I had said torsion, I meant tension rod, which I have edited.

I still can't get over how clean that car is. So did the shop customize the OEM mounts or did they completely fabricate those mounts? Either way, I'm digging the OEM look.
