Re: Uchinanstyle's EF civic
Well, I stopped by the shop to see the car yesterday and not a whole lot had been done to my car... due to the shop owner being busy working on other customers cars. (he really needs to hire someone else)
Here are some pictures of the work that has been completed.
Some bracket's that he fabricated up, kinda hard to see, look at the fire wall.
You can compare it to this picture.
Clutch/brake/gas pedal's installed.
Bolting stuff back up.
I guess the goal is to have it out of his shop and back in my hands by Jan. 01.... we will see. LOL!!!

Re: Uchinanstyle's EF civic
Since a certain AE86 has left the shop (friends car), work has started back on my civic. lol!
Here is a picture of the shop owners OCD, the hole where the wiring harness and rubber grommet goes through the fire wall, the hole is just a tad smaller than the one on the cr-x, so Waki is getting ready to cut out the hole so the rubber grommet that came off the cr-x would fit a little better.
Here is a picture of my tires that came in while I was in the states. Dunlop Star Spec Z2. 195/50-15 x 4
Here are a couple of pictures of what the rims and tires are going to look like on the car.

Re: Uchinanstyle's EF civic
Today, I went back up to Waki's to see a white EF9 (the owner is part of Waki's circuit crew) that I'm big fan of but the kid didn't show up because of the weather, I guess he doesn't like driving it in the rain, and it was snowing just North of us today.
So, to make the day some what productive, I decided I was going to take the fuel tank from the CR-X back to the storage area and clean it, then paint it... well Waki was like, "do you mind washing out the inside of it with a power washer?", I'm like, "sure"................ man was that a mistake (but I'm happy that I done it).......... it smelled like *** after I opened it up and pulled out the fuel pump......... old gas, rust and some gel looking **** came out. After getting the gas out of it, myself along with the help of a friend, power washed the **** out of it, inside and out.
It looks allot better now, pictures tomorrow.

I almost forgot, I changed all the hoses on the engine yesterday.... this was a p.i.t.a , I mean it was a bitch changing them out do to the hoses being old and wouldn't come off for ****, I had to cut most of them...... I couldn't imagine doing the ones on the back side of the engine, just above the oil filter with the engine in the car.
Note: Basically, I'm very glad this was done with the engine out of the car. lol

wow that looks a lot more complicated then when i put the dohc zc in my old ef i only had to add wire's for the 2 injectors, resistor box, crank sensor and swap the wires for the tps sensor.
