SixFiveOh's B5 A4 Progress Thread
Thanks guys. Wheels, I'm not sure when will come, was thinking about just throwing spacers on the OEMs and focusing the cashflow elsewhere, but still not sure...
Anyways, today I did a few things.
Put in the OEM cargo net that I for some reason took out when I bought the car. This thing is awesome.

business...

This is the worst paint on my car, the whole roof is starting to oxidize, chip and even rust.

Fortunately, this will be fixed soon:

Made some changes to my DIY skid plate, shortened it a bit so it fits nicer and added some stencilage

Also, decided to paint the reservoir caps flat black:

Got a little done yesterday...

S4 headliner.
A4s never came with black pieces.

Need to do something about those door moldings though...

I was thinking about using fabric dye on the door molding fabric, and taking out those rear plastic corner pieces and trim painting them to finish everything up.
Anyone know a good technique and product to dye the fabric? I've never done this before...

If you can find a tub or something big enough to soak them in, RIT dye does wonders.
I know people that have RIT dyed their carpets and they barely fade where the feet are. Since those will probably never be touched, I think you'll be fine.
I actually dont think it looks bad with that little bit a gray...

Found these last night for a price I felt should not be turned down.

Only issue was:

Spent today in the city with my girl and dropped the wheel off at a wheel shop, a few hours later, I had this

and a warrantied guarantee that its straight, will hold air, and never crack again in that spot
Plans are to strip them down, fill the curbage and new paint. I'll post more updates after I hopefully start tomorrow.

Started work on the wheels today... first had to give them a good clean

Sanding and filling...

Primer

After 4 coats of the color, Wurth silver wheel paint.

Still need to add the laquer/clearcoat and maybe do a little wetsanding and buffing after. Had to see what they looked like so far...

Center caps will be changed, not sure what to yet, but I have a few ideas

reminds me of shelby gt500 wheels. this car is effin nice man. My GF used to have a 00 and man was it a POS but they never really took care of it. Plus it was auto but brake boosting off the line was fun haha

Yesterday I did the roof, which was bothering me like none other...

Didn't come out PERFECT, but much better than before.
Nice a4 build, its cool to see somebody modding an audi, i just piced up a 2000 s4 for my wife like 2 months ago. Its an awesome car but unfortunately not a six speed
, your build makes me want to find a used 6 speed one and start the chipping, intake, exhaust route. Good luck and keep us updated.

This thread is awesome. I learned how to drive stick in a 98 A4 when I was 16, so deep down I'm pretty fond of Audis. You're quality of work, and priority on keeping it clean is top notch
Keep up the good work! Subscribed.

That was done the day after I took those pics
It's been a while, alot of things have changed. I threw those wheels on, painted them cream, hated them, changed them back to silver, roomate backed into my front end, replaced bumper with S4 bumper and replaced both headlights. More or less how it sits now:
