Nice man I love how the skirts look. I was surprised when I saw it in person when I woke up for the meet. The EP looks much more complete now and lower for sure! I really dig how clean the styling on those skirts are, super laid back and simple. Great work man, can't say it enough.
I wonder what the big purchase is... taste of my own medicine there huh haha.

Parts should start rolling in today for the new setup.... soooo excited!
I also dropped my second set of Todd's top hats off at the machine shop to start on a little modification to them, then those will get swapped out with the ones on my car now during the install

Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...
This beauty came in yesterday
Ive been wanting one of these for quite a while now, as it's the best production strut bar for the EP3 (the only solid design without pivots and flimsy mounting brackets)
I am also going to need somewhere to mount the reservoirs for my new dampers so I figured now is as good a time as ever to scoop one up!
I got the chrome simply because it was a 7 day wait for the black powdercoat option. It will be painted SSM to match the car/bay after some modification

Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...
Big day for me today
My EVO dampers came in today along with a banner for our track canopy... Thanks to Jerry @ Buddy Club once again! Always great customer service and products. Cant wait to see how these perform on the rough streets I commute on
Ill be changing some things about this setup before the install including new springs and Todd's top hats which are currently at the machine shop getting some special touches (more on that later).
The EVO dampers feature 3 way adjustability including 15 positions of rebound and high speed compression as well as 6 positions of low speed compression. The main selling point for me is being able to tune out high speed compression dampening for a more compliant, comfortable ride on the street.
Initial impressions are good. As long as these perform as well as other dampers Ive used by Buddy Club I will be more than happy! Ill go through my experiences with them once theyre installed and share with the community
Now on to the good stuff
.
.
And Ill leave you guys with a shot of our simulator currently running iRacing

Also, a couple articles if you guys are in for a read. I set this car up at work and had to work around some interesting handling characteristics. I was happy to hear the owner (Marc) was thrilled with the results!

Going ham on this page already! Nice pickup on the bar, I'll be interested in seeing the mods you'll do to it.
How nice are those EVO dampers! Man the quality looks really good in the pictures, I wonder if they make a version for EG hehe. Let's see how much better they ride on the street and performs during cornering. Sign me up for a ride along :p
Nice job on the alignment for marcs car, good work as alwaysx. Nice to have a suspension guru like you as a friend lol.

It's always crazy looking to me how short the rear travel is on these cars and how short the spring is. I can't wait to see these installed.

Cool to see your Neuspeed bar. The first part I ever bought was a Neuspeed front strut tower bar for my coupe, I very recently swapped it for a triangulated bar since my engine swap put my in SM at the autocross. It was a bummer to let it go but I have a friend who was very happy to have it. And man those dampers are gorgeous - who hasn't coveted remote reservoir dampers?? I am really looking forward to whatever super cool, super trick, super tidy way you're gong to mount those up in the front. Keep it up, man!

I wish there was room to run a triangulated bar but between AC lines and brake lines and the shape of the firewall there is no room. Always been a fan of the neuspeed bars though for all chassis. It was the only solid bar for the older cars for a long time, until Carbing/Rigid and Mugen bars started to make their way to the states.
Im actually ordering the clamps for the front reservoirs tonight! Ive spent probably 4-5 hours on the internet looking for something that will work and isnt $50 a piece lol.

Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...
Here is an update on the front strut bar mods
Although the bar is pretty rigid, I could still get it to flex a little with my weight on it when I test fit it. So I decided to reinforce it a bit...
I fabbed this dimple die gusset from 14g mild steel. The back edge is bent at 90* with a 1/2" lip that greatly increases stiffness. Its pretty much ready to be TIG'd on, just have to finish media blasting the chrome off the weld areas
Ill be adding small gussets to triangulate the mounting area aswell

Nice! Neuspeed makes the only legit strut tower bar for an EF as well! Love seeing all the progress on the EP and DC5. Makes things feel standstill here in the HV
