Ahhh more stuff slowly coming along. I am sooo tired of sanding its sooo repetitive and mindless!
I think I have spent over two days just sanding the spoon top to get rid of imperfections and take off all the old paint. Also got the hood ready.
So just to give a brief rundown. I had to sand the hell out of the spoon top down to primer to do it properly, straighten the lines to get rid of ripples, then tape it up, then get it sprayed with primer, then go over the whole thing again with 320 grit then again with 500 and now tape it back up for paint. The hood was the same process except I didnt have to completely take off the old paint just sand off the clear so the primer could adhere to it.
I also started and finished trimming the excess metal from the inside of the fender, forgot to take a pic when I finished but I will grab one tmw. You can see how much I widened the fender from this shot.
That black charcoal looking stuff is called dry coat guide you spread it around and it lets you see where and how well you have sanded...pretty boring common sense stuff

Some pics of how the front were fitting before all this work. It was really flush and looked amazing but it took the fun out the car because you couldnt go around corners fast without the tire eating the fenders and it was only a matter of time before the tire grabbed my fender and ruined it. This process should give it a bit more clearance to gain what I am after without sacrificing too much looks.
