Default ProjEKt hatchback

sooo... after the somewhat recent loss of my dc2 ive finally gotten around to my new project EK hatch. im a student so im a little low on money, but i use almost all of it on my car. soo heres what i have so far.

bought the hatch in the first place, cx with 166K and some chips and dents in the body, but it wasnt too expensive..

not the best pictures but i didnt have alot that didnt show the license plate..

hah but then theres the motor....

thats a problem :p

so the motor was the first MAJOR problem of the car. sohc, non vtec, 166k... you know

there was also the front end, if you didnt catch it there was a massive dent in the mood, missing grille, 96-98 front end... etc.

sooo i just happened to come across a wrecked civic si one day... :]

front end wasnt damaged, just scratches, well the bumper was cracked, but ill fix that

but it didnt but it for that.... :D
it whats on the inside that counts right??

sooo i wanted to use the interior, well and the cluster duh so i had to clean it...

it took awhile.

eventually this came though

so i threw the seats and cluster in the si, looks better, get pics up later, but then i had to pull the motor.

pulled the ugly front and drained the fluids

undid exhaust
struggled with bitch pin
undid ecu
took out battery, fuse box, radiator and coolant lines, clutch line, throttle cable

TOOK A 2 HOURS UNBOLTING THE AXLE BOLT

then popped the mounts and lifted it.

have a friend with you.

currently in the process of pulling the si motor and painting the engine bay because i dont plan on keepint the hatch the same color

so today i got a hour or two in of work on the civics, but then the seattle weather took a turn for the worse and it got too cold to untorque things and play with those damn cotter pins.

I did manage to pull out the ac unit and ps. i also got the front suspension out that i was also going to use on the hatch as well as one axle, the second one was on its way to being popped out of the hub, when all of a sudden i couldnt move the hub inwards anymore and the boot of 2nd joint receded and it just didnt look good, so i think i might have to pick up a new drivers side axle :[ i have tomorow off though so i'll get alot done.
