update from today!!!

so i had some good progress today.
got the motor out and into the hatch.

but pulling the motor seemed to be a struggle.
i had to break the welds of the frame to break the front metal off to fit it through.

then i put the si mounts in and got them torqed down

dropped and bolted the motor in

advice, have a dedicated assistant or friend.

im a fan of these pics i duno why

and my dedicated assistant

tomorrow im putting fresh royal purple and coolant in and new radiator hoses.

yeah, from my experience i would do everything 100% the first time. painting the bay/car really doesnt come down to money issues, its more time/effort issues. itll pay off in the end too. goodluck, i'll def be watching the build.

are you suggesting that he leave the dented/wrecked 96-98 front end rather than put the mint 99-00 Si front end on the car?!? i hope youre joking...

haha, well maybe if it were in nice condition, or like a ctr front i would, but i have a si front for free so why not?

but my progress has slowed as ive hit the wiring portion of it, im stuck with how you wire it into the rest of the stock wire, like the fat part of the harness that runs across the underside of the dash, its killin me.

pm me if you can be of any assistance

and i have the flu :[

soo, its been awhile since ive gotten to work on it, reason being we had a few feet of snow here in seattle and the snow didnt leave for a few weeks, then it poured and my car was outside under a damn tarp. fortunately nothing was harmed.

had car moved to my own garage.

but i got some new parts i needed, and a chipped p28's in the mail

had to get one, i have a thing for kevlar

royal purple for the win

lol i know its stupid, i love these on si grills

but ill have more posts with pictures from progress now that the cars in my own garage haha.
