so after firing it up for the first time I noticed I had a huge oil leak coming from the back side of the motor. I narrowed it down to the T block for the turbo oil feed line. after pulling it out this is what I found!!

apparently I overtightened the **** out of it lol. got a new T block for $1.48 at a local hardware store.

other then that all I have to hook up is the boost controller and get a basemap in it then drive up to rrev to have jeff tune it.

I just took my car to get tuned at rrev motor sports. Im pretty happy with the results

1990 stock b18a1
obd2 i.m.
hondata im gasket
home made charge pipes
home made 3" d.p.
ebay blox style cast iron mani
ebay .50/.63 exhaust
3" velocity stack
38mm w.g.
home made dump tube
act 4 puck sprung clutch
gsr tranny with welded diff
s300 with boost by gear (my favorite part)

made 314 whp 279 tq at 17lbs. only made 207whp 187tq at 9 lbs. turbo is pretty inefficient but it gets the job done. car weighs 2050 with a 1/2 tank of gas.

Im really happy with the short runner manifold and some what small turbo. boost lag is very minimal and it pulls like a freight train.

btw. I had jeff tune a ls vtec turbo, rods and pistons, about a year ago with a nsr tech ram horn and 3" d.p. and one of the ebay 60-1 big *** turbos and it made 307whp on 17lbs. lol Im just happy my $200 ls makes more whp then my built ls vtec

thanks man, this is by far my favorite turbo motor Iv had and I highly suggest it. it has tons of torque and is soo much fun to drive. it takes like 1/8 throttle to get any where and like 1/3rd to spin the tires

been cruising it around for a bit now and I have to say this is by far my favorite turbo motor Iv ever had, tons of torque on tap and it only takes a tiny bit of throttle to go anywhere. definitely alot better then my b16 turbo. and its also nice to have such a broad power band, I decide when to shift, not my car I dont have to rev the **** out of it to get it to go any were. I can shift at 5k and hit the next gear and be in full boost in a blink.

also I got a b1 valve cover for free from a buddy so I decided to throw it on, I think Im gonna strip it completely and weld in a -10 fitting and then get it powder coated a nice bright silver or white.

up date*
pulled rod bearing out and it was cyl #1. also went and bought a spare long block today thats pretty clean and really complete for $200 should be able to sell parts off it to recoup at least $100

Im going to acura to buy a new pair of rod bearings. so hopefully it will be running mid this week.

for any one who ever has any issues with identifying what bearing they will need this link is very helpful
