<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SqueekyReXx &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">so the shiift linkage was messed up??? do u think thats why the previous owner said the tranny was messed up??? cause im buying a b16 change over tomorrow and im buying it kinda cheap cause the owner said that the tranny was messed up. then he told me the shift linkage was rigged. so what im asking is could the sloppy shift linkage make it hard to put into gears 2and3?? im thinking about it. and it seems possible, but that might just be my wishful thinking. if it is then im lucky *** hell. but if not then im gonna have to get new gears. BUT a SHIFT LINKAGE WOULD BE A LITTLE BETTER ON THE POCKETS </TD></TR></TABLE>

This might not be the best place for this. In fact, if I remember, I'm gonna delete this post tomorrow.

But, shift linkage will make it hard to get into gears, usually not a 2-3 combo, though. it's usually ones on one side of the border (ie 1 and 2; 1, 3, 5; 2, 4, R; or 5 and reverse) but something that CAN make it hard to get into 1 and 2 is a clutch off adjustment, which is even easier to fix. And easily messed up by someone who has no idea what they're doing.

Did you both prime and paint the IC?

Thats gonna hurt efficiency a bit.
