Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
and before that engine installation, gearbox saga...how to make mishmash gearbox from ITR 4.7 FD and gears from S4C and LSD from S9B and without ITR first gear...fatal mistake for not having first gear from S80 when having it's final drive, since I couldn't get first gear set I made custom cage so first gear from S4C could fit on S80 modiffied counter shaft...pain...lots of pain
and my modiffied S80 countershaft with custom roller bearings and cage to take S4C first gear
(i later found and bought one set of S80 first gear, just to for security reasons)
and for those that want to install FD from S80 gearbox the 4.7 one...
this is difference in first gear S4C vs S80
finished and ready to be closed
and closed
another project that took tons of time

Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
and new project for pedals...
always wanted floor mount pedals but the only ones that I could fit were the ones that have cylinders faced towards driver and for long time only available set with this kind of set up was ap racing and you really don't want to know the price of those  and like three months ago I was checking OBP Motorsport site and their facebook page for handbrake and some other items and what I saw is the same set up that I needed for my build at a reasonable cost, wooohooo Tilton build out the window and floor mount pedals here we come, choose their top of the line, so pro version with alcon cylinders... and since I don't like easy way I made plate that would allow pedals to move to and further from driver...
yes I know how to complicate life on a big scale :D
Here it is OBP Motorsport project:
latest photo to follow...it's all installed with 3mm stainless steel plate TIG welded to floor and panited back in black

Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
and somewhere in between all that gearbox and engine installation...the Quaife saga...yes it f*** doesn't fit 1.6 16V steering rack and on their page it says that it fits SH3L same letters/numbers are on my casing...
so I modiffied pinion that it fitted all the way down and is in the same position as OEM so teeth on teeth like it should be from the start
and here's the problem on photo from ENDYN site:
(but this mod keeps pinion in same height as OEM (out from casing and to steering wheel column) but downside for that is that it's not perfect teeth on teeth, so I did another notch and lower all down so in my case it's perfect)
quaife vs oem parts
and how it looked in the end

Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
and lexan windows all around...
for the front one I'll see what I'll do, chooice between heated windscreen or lexan (makrolon) one
Bought this items from Mike @ Templar Performance Plastics, very good price and Mike will help you with any question or advice that you'll need, big [thumbs]
my set up is:
4mm lexan with drivers side window slide, thermoformed with black line (so you can glue it in) and tinted in bronze

Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
bad photo of fuel box (sanded and ready for clear coat) and HEL Performance fuel lines
and made mount for Tilton brake-clutch reservoir, didn't like how much space OBP three seperate reservoir takes so decide to go with this one..
all mounts that were done are now sandblasted and ready for mat black powdercoating, so this week it's all going in.
And engine is out of the car cause I couldn't fit the alternator belt  , now it's finaly on and engine will go in after I get parts from powdercoating

Re: My new Project: Honda CRX (jap.style)
and this is the idea how fuel lines will go in hand brake mount...
on handbrake mount there are three fuel line mounts that hold the lines in place
