My Homemade H2B Plate and Custom Mounts (In a.. you guessed it! CRX)
Well, I made a custom h2b setup for my crx... some of you had doubts, but now its done, so in yo face! 
j/k Onto the pictures!
In the beginning, about 3-4 months ago.
Making the templates using an old h22 block and b18 tranny:
Tracing both templates onto one piece of paper
Picked up a piece of 1/2" thick 6061 aluminum plate
Some of the bits used for the job
Marking out the excess that needed to be trimmed. This was the difficult part.. the whole idea of building the plate myself was to save money, a few shops wanted close to $700 just to cut off the excess with a waterjet. So I had to use some good ol'fashion grinding and hacking.
Ta Da!!! All the gruelling work is starting to take shape.

Thanks, the project is already done, I started back in march. The total for the plate and mounts came out to about $400
I thought it turned out pretty nice considering a qsd kit cost's around $700 and another $300 for a decent set of mounts.

I guess the title was a little misleading though, as the h2b swap is just a portion of what Ive done with the car and what I plan to do. Ill post most of pics from everything, so.. sorry if its scattered here and there.
The candidate for my h2b was a crx, I had an h22a swapped ef hatch the year before but it didn't quite cut it. So I picked up a 90 crx last Halloween for $350.. rusty but easily fixable. The d15 it had barely ran and smoked like a bitch, so I swapped in a junkyard d16a6 and used the old dpfi manifold so I could drive it around for the winter.
Believe it or not, a friend and I drove the crx in the middle of December, with the junkyard engine, all the way down to Houston Tx and back, to buy a car that we later imported into Alberta. But anywho, here 's the beast...
Started replacing a few things...
Got rid of the ripped dx seats
Starting to look respectable
After driving the car for the majority of the winter, I parked it, bought a new dd, and started the bodywork
Since I originally wanted an Si for obvious reasons, I couldn't resist when I lopped this off at the junker for $25bucks (Call me retarded for doing this, I don't care.. but you cant have a crx without a sunroof, its just not the same feeling) I hated not having one for summer driving, its horrible.
Started to work with the left rear quarter, defiantly the worst. I would have liked to get new quarters but it was gonna be much too costly.
Picked up some new parts, the original doors were so rusted I didn't want to touch them. When I saw these doors and sunroof on a mint 91 rex i had to grab em. $100bucks
