haven't done anything yet to lower the noise so far. i hope to find a longer reso this coming thur. and hook it up quickly before a guy in uniform signs a ticket for me, lol

for the tuning gadgets... you'll be the first one to use it for FREE once i get home on a holiday got some pix to post later as i forgot to bring my camera's usb cable. i did upload bin files into two diff. chips(Atmel AT29C256 and 27SF512) last night using Craig/Moates' BURN1 kit and everything went perfect and flawless... upload/verify/blank check... it's all cool, thanks to my new intel dual core Dell laptop

i saw you post in my other thread. goodluck man and don't worry much, it's easy to wire up the cluster. have a bit more patience and you can do it. all you need is a digital VOM, a wiring diagram and some common sense

here's a pic with my laptop and BURN1 on duty:

next thing is to install the other electronic parts and do the WIKI 5v ECU mod for datalogging into the P28. here's a very nice DIY write-up by no other than Chris of Xenocron. you guys are cool, thank you!

oh and here's my boy saying "my dalmatian toy looks better than your Ostrich daddy", lol

thanks gentlemen

jdm_ef9, what shocks/spring combo are you using? are those the same ones you used in your 12sec. pass?

it's time to update this thread i guess

my LSV project will start from ground up few days from now. back to being a grease monkey again. been enjoying chipping my ECU's and doin couple of street tunes with CromePro.

it's been almost two weeks since i chipped my JDM P30 ecu after doin the P28. so far so good.

cool! what are the spring rates of those? i think i'll just gonna get some custom GC spring rates since i'm using the same set of shocks as yours, AGX 4-way adjustable.

right now i have the stock rates @ 350(F)/280(R) if i'm not mistaken. what do you think about the Koni/GC combo? i've read alot of good remarks about this combo, at least for autox, but drag applications must be really stiff at the rear, right? Time to save more money i guess

pretty much by reading helms, haynes, chilton repair manuals and online search as well.

LOL

ok, santa just dropped this thing early last night. nothing special but a JDM B18B long block:

and so the tear-it-down process started:

i really prefer the OE oil breather:

muscles and muscles to unbolt the the head from the block.

santa knows what to choose, a healthy used engine:

and a nice buttom end.

more updates later as i go in deeper to the block and replacing the OE pistons with JDM P30 ones and other must have goodies. Let the LSVTEC Project begin!!!!

thanks for your time fellows and have a good day!!!

im runnin 900lbs. in the rear and 450lbs. in the front. the car hooks up really nicely since i've installed these!! you can't beat the agx's for the $$$. for drag-- the stiffer the better

this is a really nice build to watch; good clean work.

For the rad I'd suggest looking for a thick all aluminum rad like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1

When I was using a half size, dual core copper unit like you had made my temp gauge would be in the red after 3-4 laps on a 1.5km road course with my heat on full blast. But after I switched to the radiator in the above auction my temp gauge hasn't moved.

To quiet your exhaust try adding a turbo lol worked wonders for mine lol

lol, i wish we can stick-in turbos in an EF while retaining the a/c.

thanks for the tips though. but i don't think the rad fits while using a Full Race traction bar. I'm looking into the Koyo ones once i switched to this other motor.

No updates so far for the build. It was some quality family time yesterday.

damn crank pulley

i thought i could use my old gangsta tool when i did my B16.

the hex nut is larger by 2mm against the B16 pulley w/c is 50mm

i have to fab another one later when i get the larger nut.

my old gangsta tool:
