got it all back together!! dunno if it runs yet though. it was like 130 in the morning and i didn't want to wake any one up since my alt belt likes to randomly squeel, even though it's new and properly tightened. so that's today's job.

pix!

arp's installed:

gasket on:

and i didn't take pix of it all back together, it looks the same, only i moved my valve cover ground to the back of the motor and my paint is more chiped up from fighting with my timing belt

yup! came today. thanks again meng! i promise that front mount was the best condition one i could find in the 'yard. same with the rear. most of them were actually torn into pieces. even the one off my buddies old hf that i helped part out was shredded, and it was driven grandma style. you might want to stuff some window caulk into it if you're worried about it though.

for any one else that is curious as to what we're talking about, i received this bad boy in the mail today:

it's an obd1 gsr tb. i'm going to clean it up, then snag the tps and the map sensor off my garbage z6 tb then slap it on. if only the gas purge tube wasn't on the top of the tb... oh well. but before i install it i'm going to get a grinder tool to port match my intake manifold to the tb, since there's like a 1/8th inch difference all the way around the inside of the mating surface between the z6 im and the c1 tb... i have a spare z6 im that i compared it to.

any ways after that i topped off my coolant n blead it then cruised over to mcdonalds n killed some lunch with my broski Gary, and his lil' girl Melanie. he was cruisin in his uncles 88 4dr teggy, which is actually hella nice. needs some boost though.

(Melanie bein a pimp)

then we cruised over to his grandma's where his gti is parked at, he shattered his oil pump after he hit like a 4" lip in the road thanks to a lifted truck and a super shitty pave job... so we had to park it like it's hard... lol

doesn't look TOO bad...

but apparently the oil pump/pick up sits like 1/4 of an inch above the bottom of the oil pan on a vr6, so... he's lucky he didn't spin any bearings. we're hoping his block is still good when we get it put back together tomorrow

then i cruised out to troutdale to kick it with my buddy doug for a few, he drives truck and is hauling asfault to and from a 50 mile stretch of I84 by Multnomah Falls

his truck has like, 2-300k miles on it, he got a super smoking deal, paid 1200 and put about 800 into it. bought it with 160k on the clock. and it's a bunk bed sleeper truck. not bad for a 93 freightliner.

then on my way home i was mugged on HELLA by a gresham police officer, so i turned my lights off super quick and kept on cruisin

really? when? i was over there at around four looking for something to extract a stripped allen bolt (for future reference, 3/8" sockets fit perfectly over the oil pan bolts on a vr6)

so i think the idiot gas station attendant put regular into my tank, instead of premium like i asked... i say that because as i was driving around after i got gas, i noticed it was pinging ALOT under load, like accelerating to get on the free way, going up hills, etc. **** pissed me the **** off. i was going to drive it to the beach, but ran out of daylight, which is good, because i probably would have melted a piston or burnt a valve or something. so tomorrow i'm going to go fill with premium, and pour a bottle of octain booster in it to be safe. then probably get a base map tune on my next pay day, depending on weather i get off my *** n sell some **** or not.

laaaaaaame. so my battery cable some how popped off my battery while i was driving, and now i have an intermittent jumpy idle when i decelerate. it stops jumping when i'm sitting still, but when i'm slowing down, and applying the brakes, my idle jumps from 800-1500. going to take a look at it tomorrow. plus i gotta fuss with my clutch, when i rap out first gear and power shift into second, it slips. like i push the clutch in then let it out quickly and it acts like i slowly let the clutch out. so a new clutch kit and flywheel is deff something needed in the next couple of months.

Cruised down stark with brayzief9 for a while yesterday, picked up my parts from honda and acura, then helped my good friends alex and nick perform a nice legit stealth alarm install complete with keyless door handles on alex's 88 crx dx. His cars pretty legit, its the one I helped swap a DOHC zc into a few months back

me too, i wanna try to run my car atleast once at PIR before the season's over.

did some work today, just little ****, but made a big improvement all the same. Started personalizing it too.

any ways here ya go.

last night, i installed a vtec solenoid hat:

then i did some weight reduction:

guess what these are:

ok no more guessing

can you see the antenna?

then mounted a switch in my glove box for my service connector so it's easy to read codes if, god forbid, my CEL comes on. ended up having to make a spacer for it since the switch hit my ac box though:

then i replaced my rear defroster switch with another one since both bulbs were burned out, and found out that the switch lights up at night, so i'm going to order all new bulbs for all my dash switches. I also switched out my egay leather type r style shift boot for the stock teggy one, cleaned all the garbage out of my car, and adjusted my headlights.
