Re: Just Another EJ6 Hatch De-Rice Story
I haven't read the whole thread yet, but I am working on a similar project right now. De-ricing a 97 EJ6 with 150k on it. These are getting hard to find even in Ohio where there was a fairly large amount sold. I bought mine, which is fairly straight, of a member here and it had a lot of the right parts on it, like a fresh LS/Vtec, KYB Shocks, CX no options model, but a lot of bad things done, like lowered to the point of pure undrivability, an interior that looked like it had seen an ax murder or 2, and various other parts/screws missing...
I thought about doing a build thread too... I have been taking pics as I go

You sir are a trooper. I really enjoyed your thread even with how simple everything was. Took all the shots at you in stride and kept doing you. Keep us updated and dont give up, you always end up regretting getting rid of something you put so much of yourself into. I know I do..

im baaaaaaaaaaaccckkkk!!!
i like the way you think there. its just i dont want to do body work
do it!! its like a journal for ur car and you get to see what people think
why thanks!
not once have i thought about getting rid of this car specially now. just some difficulties came up and it has made it hard to stay updated.
well sir, look below........
sooooooooooooooooooooo i know its been quite some time and looks like many have wondered what happened. well nothing real bad has happened, car is well and still chugging along. i have no internet so its hard to keep up.
i have however kept up with the pics of everything i do so you guys do miss out. got some new(er) rims. te37 knock offs. i like the look they gave my car. this was back in february. also got a replacement block cus the original was having trouble starting due to low compression. motor was in march.
the last pic is the new block. a lot cleaner than the old. you can tell by my old dirty tranny.
MORE TO COME SOON!

well heres another udate that i forgot to post but while at the the yard the last time, i got some plastic int. pieces that where not the same color on my car. both free haha.
its obviuos who the goose is.
new piece and matching
not the same
the almost the same
now please dont give me hell cus i put a cruise switch in there, i know there's none in the car but i'd rather have matching pieces than off color ones. just how my mind works.

Re: Just Another EJ6 Hatch De-Rice Story
now when i said soon i meant as soon as i could get back on the laptop.
so the next update i did was get a 15/16 master cylinder. now i had a real hard time finding one off a teg so i gave up, yup. i went with plan B which is use one off and accord. fit perfect and all i had to do was bend the front line a little. here is how it went.
the bigger MC
my factory reservoir put on
bent line and fit like a glove
also i had my brake lines on wrong, left on the right and vice versa so i took the opportunity to flip them the right way
bled it and all i had to say was wow!! the brakes grabbed so much harder, i was pleased
also i need to replace my damn axle!
so yeah even more to come very soon haha

Re: Just Another EJ6 Hatch De-Rice Story
wow guys, havent been on here in almost a year. thats wayyyyy too long!! anyways i still have the car
i havent really done much to it to be honest.
here's a quick rear itr brake upgrade haha. i dont know why i didnt do this sooner.
out with the old, so little haha
in with the new, ooo la la
now it was a really tight fit due to the fact that i kept the old calipers. given the chance i'll upgrade to ep3 ones. this car is a junkyard built car afterall haha
