Default How much would you pay for hatch

After looking for long time I found cheap hatch. It is 97 hatch DX 200000 miles and it has blown engine. Car is in good condition. How much would you guys pay for that. Mileage is really high and I am going to do swap so is it worth buying?

1500-2000 seems like a lot no? I was thinking like 1200 at the most. Maybe i'm wrong. Good luck though

If it's clean and you are gonna do a swap and some suspension work 1500-2000 is a great deal. Clean cars are hard to find at a price anywhere near this. Why would you care bout miles and a blow engine they shoudn't mean anything to you.

$1500 for car+100 tow
$2000 for B18B swap
=3600 for car

Now my question is Do you think I would get around $4000 if I plan to sell this car. How much would you pay?

If it's clean, you could get 4K if you put a new motor in it. Why would you buy it if all you're going to do is put in a motor and sell it?

lol...gotta love that desi mentality! Yea, I'm sure you could get 4g's for it pretty easily. Especially if you run into a kid with some money who thinks your car is "fast".

My suggestion would be to put in another stock d16 for ~$150 and sell it without telling them about the blown motor. If you try selling it with a different type of engine, the buyer will ask a bunch of questions about why the motor blew, and it was "obviously driven hard" etc.. With a stock d16 you could see around 4k-5k. Check http://www.kbb.com though.
