Sorry for no updates lately. Kinda been alittle busy. BUT I did file for my income tax AGAIN. I now get back 1800! And its all going to my car. So now just what to do with this money. The last couple days I have been online looking for what to go with. I do know I really want to do the Lsvtec conversion. I dont think thats going to cost me to much. I think I know a guy that has everything for the swap. But that leaves me with some money left over. I think I am really starting to fall in love with the JDM front ends. I think it just makes the car look very clean. I was on passwordjdm and I can get it shipped for like 1500 bucks. Kinda alot I think. Then I seen it on HMO, they were only 800 bucks....but they were sold out.
. I wonder if they are ever going to get any back in stock, if so I will definitly be going with it.
Well I guess thats enough talking. But if anyone has a jdm front end they want to get rid, or might know where I can get one at PLEASE let me know.
Thanks.

Black molding FTW. Let us know if you end up buying some new carpet, i'd like to see some options. As far as those air filters are concerned, i would just as soon use the cleaner one, whichever that is.
i would clean the one on the right and throw that one in, the white thing looks like ricaroni. he probably ran the blue wire with intention to make a switch to run the fan, does the fan run on its own? from what i have seen it seems like a lot of people run back up switches for there fans incase they ever over heat. the red wire... dont know, you said it goes up the pillar, where does the other end go? does it look like he maybe ever had neon or some kind of lite mounted on the cealing?
nevermind i see where the other end of the red wire runs to now... does it go the hole way up the pillar or just somewhere behind the dash?

I would say the fan does not run on its own. The fan only has two wires coming from it. One is the ground and the other is that wire that leads to nothing. I would like to hook it up somehow to where it runs on its own. How can I do that?
As for the red wire, it runs somewhere behind the dash on the far right side. I couldnt find it through the firewall so I dont see any need of having it. They had it ran from behind the dash going towards where the battery was (behind the pass. seat), where it just ended.

you said there looked like there was a speakers back there at one point? maybe for neon or some other accesory along with the speakers.
i myself dont know where the fan hooks up to run on its own, im sure you will get a responce from someone else momentarally, but i would just run it to a switch somewhere and just flip the switch to turn on the fan when needed. my fan runs but when we did the motor swap we added a wire anyway incase it does over heat i can run the wire to the battery to manually turn on the fan.

I want this build to look super clean. I really dont want any toggle switchs or anything in the car. I guess I will just have to wait and see what others say.
I am thinking thats what the red wire went to also. Today I will look it over alittle more. Thanks alot though.

Thats the filter I was thinking about using. The one on the left I am going to paint the frame blue to match the car. Probably just switch back and forth between the two.

i know what you mean, i almost had to put a toggle switch in but we found another way to hook the thing up. you could easilly find somewhere to hide it though.

I noticed you posted the question about the fan stock wiring diagram. I would not have it set up to run all the time because your car will have trouble warming up.
IMO, YOU SHOULD USE THE AIR FILTER ON THE RIGHT. AND FIND A PLACE TO HIDE THE TOGGLE SWITCH FOR THE FAN, YOU DONT WANT TO HAVE IT RUNNING ALL THE TIME.
NICE PROJECT TOO!!!!
OH YEA... PAINT THE MOLDINGS BLACK! I THINK THAT WOULD LOOK THE BEST!

I will try this...I think I understand what you are saying.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by JKGONZALEZ3 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">how cold was it when you scraped the tar.</TD></TR></TABLE>
It was like 30 or 35 degrees outside. But I was in my garage...I dont have any heat in there but it still stays halfway decent in there. Not all the tar was able to come off. But pretty much 80 percent was pretty easy.
I have to work tomorrow so progress will be slow. But I will get back to the car asap and hopefully get the tar removing done and try the spark plug fix.
