Re: EF5 4g 4wd 4dr
Just a quick update, I got the Cressida running mint, the radiator i bought for it was 60% blocked so it was overheating on long trips. Runs sweet now though!
The Civic is gathering dust, i drove it for the first time in a couple of weeks yesterday. I'll be paying more attention to it soon
Also a mate got me some hectic photography equipment for my 21st, so there will be a decent photoshoot coming up soon with another mate who just bought an extremely clean 91 35xt limited edition.

Re: EF5 4g 4wd 4dr
Ok... So everyone knows how much of a PITA the crank pulley bolt is. I devised a cunning plan to thread in a fly wheel bolt (Thanks V!) and then brace it with a spanner against the engine stand to prevent the crank from spinning while i'm jumping on the breaker bar. Here's what it looked like:
and zoomed out to give a bit more perspective:
I was a bit concerned at first about shearing the flywheel bolt, but it was thread in a fair way and it was loose enough that it could be removed with a set of pliers if things got ugly.
So, HEAVE:
OMG, no way:
And i owe it to this little guy with his cursid irreplicable thread pitch (look how fine it is!)
So i started pulling more parts off of the block, removed the timing belt, water pump and cams. I want the head removed too, so that won't be far. Once it's all apart i can plan what i want to do before i piece it back together!
