I've been slacking a bit this summer. I do have a few updates, but no pics yet.

-Car goes Saturday to the paint shop for engine bay and under the hood paint.
- Turbo manifold is out getting ceramic coated. Pretty excited for that!
- Should be sending out my ECU this week to get chipped/basemap'd at Slowmotion in Columbus
- Brake lines are 90% done (Thanks 2.0L Jetta kid)
- Got a lot of parts in: Turbo , catchcan, AN Fuel LInes, Clutch, Motor Mounts, New Oil pan, Hondata S300, Power steering Delete fittings, Bunch of OEM misc. parts.

Still need:
Paint
Install motor
Make Downpipe/Dumptube
Modify Charge pipe to fit
TUNE!

A Site Sponsor BR Fittings helped me out! He also got me the black AN plug for the back of my block. I was going to do the catchcan drainback, but decided against it. Luckily he had the plug in stock!

Good luck with the build from the AK-Rowdy. When I was in the Nat. Guard my unit was in Austintown lol. I was reading through the first page and you said some NE Ohio engine builder ****ed you? Can you elaborate on how and who it was?

Victoria Road? Love watching the Hum-Vees come rolling down Rt. 46! Especially the ones with the guns mounted on top.

This builder is up in FARM country, by Norwalk. I brought him my block beginning of last June. Asked him to bore, hone, Vent valve cover, port oil pump, port oil passages, clearance the girdle for the rods, balance, and reassemble with the FJ kit. Nothing major, but a little bit of time and work.
It took nearly 3 months for him to get the block to the machine shop. My goal was to have the car done by Sept of last year, but with it being "race season", the motor would not be done in time. Not a HUGE deal.
So needless to say, I hear from him less and less. I FINALLY get ahold of him and retrieve my motor in JANUARY.
He had it bored/honed, balanced. Ported Oil Filter passages, and cleaned the block. He also had an AN fitting welded to the back, and 2 AN fittings welded to the valve cover (but no holes drilled....).
That is how much work got done in over 6 months.
/rant

Took it to Boardman Engine in town. had them doublecheck EVERYTHING, and reassemble. Can't wait to start this bad boy up!!

Erik - If you see ShockerJoe (I'm sure you know him)...Tell him Mike Jones said hello.

Yep Victoria road lol. That sucks about that shop, good to put the word out about shitty shops that rip people off/waste peoples time.

Good luck with the build, subscribed.

ECU and Hondata unit got sent out to Slowmotion Motorsports today. I asked our shipping guy at work to find me a box, and he boxed the living ISH outta that thing! Cory/Josh @ Slowmo are gonna be like WTF?

Started painting a few other things to give them the "New" look

Brake Booster was REALLY rusty underneath the paint. Thank god for angle grinders!

Finally.....Got the car back from paint!!

SOOO Gipper! Going to wait a week, wax it, then start bolting things on!

Still have to flare fuel lines for the AN Fittings, hook up PS Delete, Paint subframe, put on new tie rods and then bolt the motor down!

August 19th is my scheduled tune date, so stay tuned!

Well, my buddy came over last night and after a few hours of work:

Subframe is painted
Brake Lines are all done and hooked up
Clutch Master Cyl is hooked back up
Put on Clutchmasters Stg4 clutch
Put trans on the motor
put the engine IN THE CAR! Looks soooooo good. I will post pics, don't worry!

I must say, I really wish I would have labeled/organized the nuts/bolts better when we took it all apart. Oh well.

Should have my Turbo Mani back in the next few days. Need to place 1 more order to Majestic, and 1 more order to Downstar.
I also have a package coming from Mr. Chasebays! (No it's not a harness...though I wish!)

Looks superb. Reminds me of my 95 Vx I sold a couple years ago of nearly the same color...it was no-where as much of a beast as this though.
