Off to work. Going to sand and grind tomorrow during the day since the weather will be nice. Almost done welding.

nice work, about to order my rhd clip from steve at hmotors. so you just clipped the lhd firewall out and layed the rhd on in and welded? looks like a good idea and time saver

Yup. Used a spot weld drill bit for the rhd clip. Used a sawzall and cutoff wheel for the lhd firewall. And then just welded the rhd one in overlapping the panels. Just had to make sure everything lined up before we started to weld.


Almost done welding have a couple holes left.

how long did it take to line up this way? i saw someone elses thread on here and he drilled both out and said it was about 5 minutes to drop the new one in and line up.

Way longer than 5 min. We trimmed the rhd firewall many times and test fitted it many times b-4 2slo started welding.

sanded and grinded some more tonight. Hopefully 2slo has some time to weld some more in the next couple of days. We have a funeral to go to tomorrow.

Deff. in for the rest of this. awsome build to you too man. where in St. Louis/Charles area are you? I should be up in that area with mine after we build it this summer and i would love to see yours. I used to live in the bridgeton area by Lambert Airport and moved here a few years back

Finishing the welding this weekend. Got really busy with trying to find a new job and we worked on 2slo's car. Updates will be posted by the end of the weekend.

Got all the welding done today. Going to finish grinding down a couple more welds tomorrow after a job interview. Then hopefully we can start on applying the filler and sanding then back to paint again.

Got some work done yesterday and today.
Yesterday added seam sealer to the inside of the firewall.




Tonight we did body work to the bay.
