Started triming the rhd firewall tonight and the car. We almost have it ready to start welding. Hopefully will have it ready to weld soon, just depends on everyone's schedule this week.

why did you not take out the complete fire wall?

 

because it was such a pain in the *** taking the firewall out of the front clip by drilling out spotwelds and seperating the skins. this was much easier and the rest of the body will remain strong.

edit:: this car will be driving to import alliance in nashville this year along with mine.

 

Working on getting a better welder the one I borrowed isn't working out to well. Mocked everything up tonight. Hopefully by the end of the weekend we will have everything welded up. Calling around tomorrow to see if we can rent a miller welder.

 

A welder is on the way. Should have it all welded up by the end of this weekend. Then onto the engine bay and back to paint.

Got to some welding tonight. 2slo hates me now..

 

We ran out of gas for the welder so won't be able to continue welding till Monday night. Mocked up the rack and the stearing column along with the wheel and did some grinding today.

 

Nice progress. Keep up the good work!

 

Just got done grinding down some welds and preping for more welding tomorrow. Nothing worth posting. Going to get more gas for the welder 1st thing in the morn.
