what size/color rod bearing to use

what size/color rod bearing to use
i have a gsr block that i took apart last year and didnt mark what rod and bearing went to what cylinder. i know about the color chart (now)!! but i didnt mark them before. how can i measure/find out what rod goes to what cylinder?? i dont have to bearings anymore.

doesnt matter...each rod has a number...and the crank has a number...depending on them u can order the color u need...theres a chart on the helms...google it..or buy acl standard bearings and order some plastigauge...

so ur saying i can use any rod to any journal?,and just make sure i get that color that the crank/rod makes up. then use the plastigauge to make sure i have the right clearence after i buy the bearings? also it seams like you have done this before do you happen to know how much clearence there sould be between the crank and bearings?. this is my first rebuild sorry for being dumb.i cant find it anywhere

usually the matrix will wind you up with the correct bearing no matter what combo you use. .. don't mix up the caps.. the most important thing is, the rods and crank have to be from that block..
