JG, Supertech, SI, REV, Ferrea and crower all have decent valves. guess it really all comes down to budget and personal preference

you dont really need valves, you can get by with stock. You do need to go with a decent spring/retainer set up though. And yes, they will make power with your stock bottom end. A little compression will always help though

stainless steel valves arent much. you can go with an oversize or standard size. we charge only about $200 depending on the type of head.

If you are an LSVTEC with a stock B18a bottom end becareful because the valve reliefs on LS pistons are smaller and you may have piston-to-valve clearance issues with bigger cams and running the intake advance on the cams.

This becomes even more of a problem when the head is milled since the bottom edge of the intake valves will come really close to the top edge of the valve reliefs. Also not runing properly located dowel pins for the head can also become problematic.

What makes you think SOHC valves would fit into a first generation LS engine?

(Yes, that was a hint)
