Re: what cams (jdmcx)
I'm going to be running a Crane 704-0016 cam in my car, 292 degrees intake duration with 0.458 lift and 302 degrees exhaust duration with 0.472 lift.
My car is used for autocross and time trials, I run in street modified class.
The car is a '73 Toyota Celica...
Hope that helps.

Re: what cams (.RJ)
well i am not going to be in any class this is for a street car i was thinking that since road racing uses more low and mid range (which i am looking for ) that there would be a difference in cams to get a friend of mine had some crower stage 1 and we saw good gains with them but he wanted some more so he went with stage 3 and the power was good only up top
i am not to concerned with numbers just want some good solid power all the way
not planning on reving all teh way to 9k
any body have any experience with crower stage 2's??

Re: what cams (jdmcx)
I think we need to clarify here...
Road racing means SCCA, NASA, etc on a road course (Watkins Glen, Buttonwillow, etc), not Me and my homies on Washington street at a stop light...
You can't road race without being in a class (unless of course you have no class, but we won't go there because it's Christmas).

Perhaps he means lapping days?
